KPMG Meijburg & Co no. 1 in Tax & Legal, MT Finance 2011

In the latest edition of MT Finance 2011 KPMG Meijburg & Co has been ranked no. 1 in ‘Tax & Legal’. MT Finance is a special annual edition of Management Team, and publishes the results of a survey of the best 'financials' in the Netherlands. The survey asks approximately 520 decision makers and managers for their opinion on, and experience with, providers of financial services. Seventy-nine firms scored a top 10 ranking in one or more business sectors.

The final rankings are based on the number of times a firm was named in the survey. Just like last year, KPMG Meijburg & Co. was ranked no. 1 in the category Tax & Legal. KPMG was ranked no. 2 in the category Accountancy, after Ernst & Young.

There is also a ranking of all the categories taken together, where the scores are averaged out. The Rabobank topped this list, followed by ABN AMRO, ING, and Ernst & Young. KPMG followed in fifth place, with PwC and Deloitte in 7th and 8th place respectively. The high rankings received by KPMG Meijburg & Co helped KPMG to score the highest average grade of the 'big 4': every first placing in a category receives 10 points, a second placing receives 9 points, and so on. The average grade received by KPMG was 8.3. Ernst & Young received an 8, PwC a 7,3 and Deloitte a 5.7.
